Airline carry-on sizes
Since I’m such a research fanatic, I thought it would be helpful to post random comparison/info charts of miscellaneous information on my blog. The last research binge I was on was for luggage carry-on sizes of all the different airlines in the world. I wanted a new carry-on recently but wanted to make sure that it would fit within all the airline guidelines before I splurged on something of good quality. (For the record, I ended up buying an Air Boss by Red Oxx, 21″L x 8″W x 13″H [53.3cm L x 20.3cm W x 33cm H].)
Without any more fanfare, the information is as follows with links to relevant airline pages on baggage in no particular order as of the time of this blog posting. This list may not be complete or up-to-date. Please do your own research as well if you take a certain airline often.
American Airlines
22″ long x 14″ wide x 9″ tall (56 x 36 x 23 cm)
Alaska Airlines
10″ H x 17″ W x 24″ L (25 x 43 x 61 cm), one personal
United Airlines
carry-on: 9 inches x 14 inches x 22 inches (22 cm x 35 cm x 56 cm)
personal: 9 inches x 10 inches x 17 inches (22 cm x 25 cm x 43 cm)
Southwest Airlines
carry-on: 10 x 16 x 24 inches.
personal: includes purses, briefcases, cameras, food containers, or laptops (case included).
Delta Airlines
carry-on: 22″ x 14″ x 9″ (56 x 35 x 23 cm)
personal: 1 purse, briefcase, camera bag or diaper bag or 1 laptop computer (computers cannot be checked) or 1 item of a similar or smaller size to those listed prior.
EVA Airways

Business plus members on Iberia Group Flights may carry on two pieces of hand carry luggage instead of only one.
Japan Airlines
